China's Largest Near-Zero Energy Library BIPV Solar Roof Tile Project (519.1KW)
Building Type: New Zero Energy Building
Project Type: Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation
Installed Capacity: 519.1KW
Number of Installations: 5,191 pieces
Annual Power Generation: 600,000kwh
Project Highlights
As the core energy solution of the project, the roof of the library is fully covered with Sgbsolar solar roof tiles, interpreting the concept of “building as a power station” with precise technical parameters and large-scale application: a total of 5,191 photovoltaic tiles are installed on the roof, with a single piece of power of up to 100W, and the module specifications are precisely controlled to be 1163mmx450mmx450mmx450mmx450mmx460mm. 1163mmx450mmx7.4mm, which is suitable for the curvature and structural design of the library's roof, but also maximizes the use of roof space; ultimately realizing an installation area of 2,719 square meters, with a total installed capacity of up to 519.1kW, and an annual power generation capacity of up to 600,000kwh, which can satisfy the building's daily power consumption needs, and is equivalent to building a “rooftop clean energy station” for the library. “Rooftop Clean Energy Station” for the library
Project Background
In the wave of the deep integration of green building and clean energy, the library project of Huzhou Vocational and Technical College's new campus has become the largest near-zero-energy-consumption library in China by virtue of the hard-core target of "100% utilization of renewable energy and 86% reduction of overall energy consumption", and it is also awarded the title of "the largest near-zero-energy-consumption monolithic building in Zhejiang Province". “The innovative application of Sgbsolar's Solar Roof Tile technology behind this achievement has injected sustainable ”green kinetic energy" into the building. In actual operation, these tiles not only serve as the building's “coat”, but also as a stable “energy generator”: by efficiently converting solar energy, the electricity generated can directly meet the library's daily lighting, air conditioning, equipment operation and other power needs, helping the project reach the goal of “100% utilization of renewable energy”. “At the same time, the integrated design of Solar Roof Tile and the building's appearance abandons the abruptness of traditional photovoltaic panels, allowing the perfect fusion of science and technology and architectural aesthetics, and becoming a ”power generating landscape" in the campus. "The design of the PV panels is integrated with the exterior of the building.
From the energy-saving breakthrough of “reducing overall energy consumption by 86%” to the energy supply of 519.1kW installed capacity, the Solar Roof Tile project for the library of Huzhou Vocational and Technical College not only creates a low-carbon and comfortable reading space for students and teachers, but also provides a benchmark model for the near-zero-energy-consumption buildings in China with a replicable and popularized technological solution, The Solar Roof Tile project not only creates a low-carbon and comfortable reading space for teachers and students, but also provides a benchmark example for national near-zero-energy buildings and campus green construction with its replicable and scalable technical solutions, which promotes the accelerated advancement of the green building sector towards a “zero-carbon future”.
